Enersize closes deal for installation at Scania Södertälje plant

Translation of latest news into English:

Enersize and Scania has agreed on installation of Enersize system for compressed air measurement and analysis in Scanias manufacturing plant in Södertälje.

Including this agreement Enersize has since the beginning of the year closed seven new agreements for Enersize system for compressed air measurement, analysis and optimization. Six of these seven agreements have been in the Chinese market.

Enersize has an ongoing cooperation with Scania where Enersize has tested new technologies in Scanias Södertälje factory in close cooperation with Scanias department for Energy & Maintenance who oversees compressed air operation for all Nordic Scania plants.

Enersize and Scania has now agreed on installation of Enersize next generation measurement and analysis system in Scanias Södertälje plant. The first stage target is to measure, analyse, secure and increase production quality of the existing compressed air system. Project preparation is ongoing and installation at Scanias expense is planned to be finalized in Q1 2018. The parties are planning a second project stage including an extended installation which will also include energy measurements, energy efficiency analysis as well as leak management.

Christian Merheim, Chirman of the Board:

“I am happy to present yet another Enersize installation agreement, this time for our newest software as well as in our home market in the Nordics. This will be an important reference installation for us at it clearly shows how Enersize system can be applied for the type of compressed air system that Scania operates in Södertälje and which is abundant in all Europe where the systems has been expanded bit by bit over time and therefore consist of a mix of older and newer components.”

Roland Dahlström, Energy & Maintenance Manager at Scania:

It has been enlightening to both see and test Enersize latest software during development. It is gratifying that we now with Scanias and Enersize cooperation got the opportunity to put their system into real production use here with us in Södertälje. The need and possibilities for the manufacturing industry for this type of deep insight in compressed air systems can not be underestimated. We hope that this will give us additional understanding of, and increased possibilities to improve the performance of our compressed air systems here in our sensitive production environment.”

Daniel Riazzoli, Scania Growth Capital (Scania Venture Capital fund):

It has been very stimulating to see the development of the cooperation between Scania and Enersize. It clearly shows the benefits of having Scania Growth Capital as co-owner in this type of entrepreneurial growth companies. These companies can benefit from the huge competence both within Scania and from its surrounding ecosystem. We look forward with excitement on how Enersize can help Scania achieve cost savings and sustainability improvements in this area.

Electricians are experts on electricity. They know which cables to use in different environments. They also have to understand the dimensions of the cables to be used and which regulations to follow during an installation, related to cable channels, pipes, ducts and connectors.
