Enersize enters cooperation with an international expert within compressed air optimisation and reshapes the management group

Translation in English of earlier released news: Enersize Oyj (“Enersize”) today announces that the company has entered a strategic cooperation with Bo Kuraa and his company BKU Consult. Bo Kuraa is Mechanical Engineer and one of the world’s foremost experts in providing energy saving solutions for industrial compressed air systems with e.g. the World Bank and United Nations as earlier clients. The four-year agreement means that Bo Kuraa will work exclusively for Enersize with compressed air optimisation. Bo Kuraa will also be part of Enersize’s new, reshaped management group.

For many years, Bo Kuraa has worked as an internationally leading expert on industrial energy efficiency and industrial energy management with, among other things, compressed air as a specialty. Formerly, Bo has for example been hired by the World Bank and the UN (UNIDO) for international industrial energy efficiency missions in Asia and the Middle East. In addition to specialist expertise in compressed air systems, he also has unique expertise in optimising steam boilers, which is common within the industry sector. Bo Kuraa also has an ongoing collaboration with DTI, the Danish Technological Institute, and a broad international network. Bo Kuraa will work from the development office in Lund to provide input to the software development team to sharpen Enersizes algorithms and automated analysis tools.

The contract period between Enersize and BKU Consult amounts to four years from December 31st, 2018. Bo Kuraa will work exclusively for Enersize and receive market compensation for his work. Furthermore, the cooperation agreement includes an option program that will be finalised and communicated to the market through a press release at a later stage.

Bo Kuraa will be part of Enersize's new reshaped management team, which consists of CEO Anders Sjögren, Marketing and Sales Manager Daniel Winkler and Principal Mechanical Engineer Bo Kuraa. The management team has been reshaped to streamline the organization and reduce the company's costs. The Board believes that the new management team will both enable a successful establishment in Europe and strengthen the project activities in China. Marko Tapaninaho who previously was VP Technology & Projects and Sami Kyllönen who previously was VP Operations, China leaves the management group and Enersize.

Bo Kuraa comments:

“It is with great pleasure that I join this strategic partnership with Enersize and become part of the company's management team. Based on my long experience as expert on energy savings in compressed air systems I can clearly see that Enersize’s and LEAQS’s systems greatly simplifies and enhances the efficiency of optimizing industrial compressed air systems. It will be a real pleasure to contribute with my competence to push current profit-sharing projects forward as well as develop even better software and thereby actively participate in Enersize's continued development for a long time to come.

Anders Sjögren, CEO of Enersize, comments:

"We have now acquired an internationally leading expert in our field, which strengthens our ability to implement existing customer projects more efficiently. It also gives us better demands on our software development and, above all, creates strong confidence in the compressed air industry as well as in our customers. We are very proud to be able to present this cooperation and we are very pleased that we have found a form of cooperation that makes Bo Kuraa an integrated part of Enersize's operational activities."
